Description

This NU Aqua Granular Activated Carbon Filter or GAC filter is a direct replacement for the NU Aqua Platinum Series Reverse Osmosis System. This filter is 2.5” x 10” and will directly work with most standard systems. Manufactured using HydraCoil technology these filters provide a higher absorption rate due to the molecular structure of the pores becoming more permeable which allows even the smallest of particles to be efficiently removed from your water. With a ten times chlorine absorption capacity these filters are the premier carbon block filter on the market.

two drawbacks of filter system

One:
You might loose some valuable space under the sink to store stuff. As you can see in the picture........problem eliminated. I ran the water lines of both the filter faucet and refrigerator water down to the basement laundry room where the filter system is situated. It also made sewer attachment very easy.
Two:
Once you get accustomed to the taste of this filtered water you will notice how bad other waters taste, municipal or bottled . You will gladly throw away all the junk under your sink and place the filter system there if you don't have the luxury of the basement like I did.

Excellent water quality

New house. Our water had a lot of minerals. Kettle for tea water was always full of scale. Worried about the coffee maker getting ruined. Purchased a 5 stage filter (even though we already installed a whole house filter for particulate from the new well). Install was quite easy. Took longer to build a frame to mount everything. Color coded tubing to match the correct connector was like cheating and to the sport out of the insulation process. Once installed it took a little while to fill, bleed, flush and pressurize the system. I was nervous so I shut off the tank and the pressure came up pretty quick. So I opened up the tank valve and let it go.
