How to Maintain Warranty Coverage
Keep your coverage active by registering your system, saving proof of purchase, and following the recommended setup and maintenance steps.
Conditions Required to Maintain Warranty Coverage
Your warranty remains valid only if:
- Filters and membranes are replaced on schedule using NU Aqua-approved components. Replaceable filters and membranes must be changed and maintained regularly according to the schedule provided in your product manual. Your local water quality may require filters or membranes to be replaced more frequently than the standard schedule.
- The system is operated within proper feed-water conditions (temperature, pressure, pH, TDS, etc.). See your installation manual and maintenance guide for the proper feed water conditions required for your system. Note: Operating your system outside these conditions may affect warranty coverage.
- The system is installed and maintained correctly according to NU Aqua guidelines.
- No unauthorized modifications, repairs, or altered parts are used.
Warranty Exclusions
- The product is purchased used, refurbished, or open-box.
- The warranty claim is made by someone other than the original purchaser.
- The system is not installed according to the product's installation instructions, including the use of all required components and safety devices.
- Existing or third-party tubing, fittings, valves, filters, membranes, or other components are used in place of the components supplied with the system or approved replacement parts.
- The system is modified, altered, or repaired with unauthorized parts.
- The system is operated outside the recommended operating conditions specified for that particular product, including water quality, water pressure, temperature, or other installation requirements listed in the product manual.
- Damage is caused by misuse, neglect, improper installation, freezing, flooding, fire, natural disasters, or other external causes not related to the product itself.
Warranty Repairs and Return Requirements
If your product qualifies for repair or replacement during the warranty period, NU Aqua Systems will replace any and all parts of the affected product according to the terms of this warranty. If necessary, NU Aqua Systems can replace the entire system.
Please keep in mind that the warranty does not cover labor costs, freight charges, or other local third-party charges unless NU Aqua Systems approves those costs in writing beforehand.
During the full standard warranty period, any repair or replacement will be based on the styles, models, products, colors, and other options available at the time service is provided.
Warranty coverage applies only to the specific product that failed because of a manufacturing defect.
Any repaired or replacement product will remain covered under the original standard warranty, beginning from the date of the original purchase. A repair or replacement does not extend the original warranty or start a new warranty period.

What maintenance keeps my warranty active?
Following regular maintenance outlined in your installation manual helps protect your system and keep your warranty active.

- Use NU Aqua-approved replacement components.

Keep your receipts and maintenance records. NU Aqua may request them during a claim.
Is an NU Aqua warranty transferable?
No, NU Aqua System warranty coverage can't be transferred.
Warranty coverage only applies to the original purchaser. Coverage ends when the product leaves that person’s possession.
Keep your original receipt or order confirmation. It should show:
- The purchase date
- The product
- The original seller
- The original purchaser
NU Aqua may request this proof during a claim.
The following products are also not eligible for warranty coverage:
- Used products
- Refurbished products
- Open-box products
Note: A new system from an approved retailer may still qualify. That includes both standard and eligible Filter Club coverage. See our Filter Club Warranty requirements above or contact us at (888) 621-0062 or email us at support@nuaquasystems.com for clarification on Filter Club warranty coverage.
When does warranty coverage begin?
Warranty coverage begins on the date your NU Aqua system is delivered.
You'll also need to register your system after delivery. Registration helps us confirm your product information and process future warranty claims faster.
What does “Lifetime Warranty” mean?
The Filter Club Lifetime Warranty applies to the expected lifetime of the product. It does not refer to the purchaser’s lifetime.
The expected lifetime of eligible systems is around 10 years from the delivery date.
However, at NU Aqua Systems’ discretion, we may approve warranty claims after the product’s expected 10-year lifetime.
All Filter Club subscription, installation, operational, and maintenance requirements must remain satisfied.
What happens to my warranty if my Filter Club payment fails?
If a payment fails, you can contact us with updated payment information and your lifetime coverage will continue.
If you're unable to provide an updated payment, your lifetime warranty coverage will be subject to suspension. Ongoing non-payment may result in lifetime warranty coverage being terminated.
What happens to my warranty if I cancel my Filter Club subscription?
If you voluntarily cancel your subscription, your lifetime coverage becomes inactive.
You can, however, pause or reschedule your payments. This keeps coverage active without canceling your subscription and ending coverage altogether.
Note: Paused Filter Club memberships resume coverage upon payment.
