Whether your water comes from the city or well, we all know that water contamination does pose a serious health risk to everyone.

Municipal water treatment facilities do an excellent job of treating and sterilizing our water. Yet, residual chlorine, chloramines, and added fluoride pose serious health risks when consumed. Recent studies show that the risk of cancer in individuals who drink chlorinated water is 93% higher than those who do not. This is only one of many concerns drinking unfiltered tap water. The EPA has set thresholds for acceptable levels of deadly contaminants such as lead, mercury, and arsenic. Not only are there allowed limits of the contaminants in your water, but these limits are also often exceeded. No matter how well your water is treated it still has a long journey through outdated and potentially rusted piping to get to your home. This is where these harmful contaminants get back into your water.

Those whose water source comes from a well all know that this water is easily contaminated from the environment around you. Pesticides from a farm, animal waste from livestock, or pollution from a factory are a few of the factors that can affect the source of your water. Unlike municipal water that uses chlorine to destroy bacteria and viruses, your water is untreated. If you plan on cooking or drinking this water adequate sterilization must be done to protect you and your family. The most efficient and affordable method is by using a 6 stage reverse osmosis system with an ultraviolet sterilization filter.

Under the counter reverse osmosis system

Reverse Osmosis Systems

If you're looking for the cleanest water possible at the turn of a faucet a reverse osmosis system is for you. Tucked away under your kitchen sink they remain completely out of sight and feature a separate faucet installed on your countertop that dispenses your purified water.

These systems are best for homes, apartments and offices. Whether your on untreated well water requiring UV sterilization or city water we have a system that will work for you. If you're looking for the cleanest water possible at the turn of a faucet a reverse osmosis system is for you.

Why choose NU Aqua?

Scientist is laboratory

Let's face it, people have been filtering their drinking water at home for quite some time. However, many companies still charge a premium price for home water filtration systems and to top it off they mark their replacement filters up so high that bottled water is actually a cheaper alternative.

We've made it our mission to not only improve on the quality of those other systems, but to offer ours at a fraction of the cost so you can actually save money.

Everything in life is expensive, even things like water that seem like a small purchase add up. The larger the family the more you spend. It's not uncommon for a family of 4 or more to spend over $1000 a year buying bottled water. What if you could cut that $1000 a year down to $49? That's right! A complete set of replacement filters for our reverse osmosis system is only $49.

What's wrong with bottled water?

In the United States alone over 42.6 billion plastic water bottles are bought each year and this number is increasing. Only a quarter of these bottles end up recycled and the rest are thrown away ending up in a landfill.

Not only does purchasing water bottles contribute to our pollution epidemic, the production of a years supply of water bottles require 17 million barrels of oil. These facilities that produce water bottles emit over 800,000 tons of pollutants.

Even though water is treated and filtered prior to being bottled, it does not ensure that it's the same quality at the time you drink it. From the time water is bottled to the time it's sold it can be many months old and have been subjected to rapid heating and cooling which degrades plastics. Most people know that water does not have a expiration date, but are people aware that the bottle does? The plastic bottle that water is stored in degrades over time which can cause leeching of microplastics into that water.

If the pollution and the questionable quality of plastics is not enough to deter you from drinking it, lets take a look at the costs. 90% of bottled water's cost comes from it's packaging. The average bottle of water costs 5 cents to produce and is marked up over 4,000% percent, and some designer bottled water is marked up to even 280,000%. Spending a dollar or two on bottled water occasionally is not a big deal, but when bottled water is your primary source of water the costs add up quickly. The amount one person would spend a year on bottled water would be over $200, when you compare this to the cost of tap water at $0.10 you can see how much bottled water is marked up. Not only is it over priced, but if you read the label on bottled water you will see processed by reverse osmosis. Most bottled water companies not only use the same technology available to you but also filter the same public water you have.
